Devotional:
You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy. (Psalm 65:5 & 8)
God has filled creation with amazing proclamations of His love. It’s common to long for miracles in life, but have you ever sat in awed reverence at the rising or setting of the sun? Even as we search for God, the evening and morning sing His praises. The next time you feel far from God, go outside and watch the sunset. Watch as God paints the sky with exquisitely ethereal light, and as the sun dips below the horizon, let your heart rise in joyful unison with the song of creation as you remember that God has painted you even more beautifully. Shout for joy with creation — God is with us!
