Pslam 80
Devotional:
Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved. (Psalm 80:19)
At three different points in this prayer for restoration and salvation, we find this request: “make your face shine on us.” This phrase recalls the words of Numbers 6:24-26, in which Moses gives this blessing to Aaron and his sons: “May the Lord bless you and protect you; may the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace.” Have you ever prayed a blessing over someone? Receive this blessing today and consider praying it over someone you love to bless them. Restoration and salvation occur when God’s face shines in our life.

Father, thank you that you are not only a God who sees but one who shines His face upon His people. Help me to remember your presence with me wherever I go and the protection and blessings you bestow. Amen.
