Pslam 86
Devotional:
But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. (Psalm 86:15)
In this Psalm, we read about five amazing attributes of God that we see repeated throughout the Bible. These traits should lead us to pray in a way that reflects the acronym of ACTS. We should adore God because He is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in faithful love and truth. Those traits also invite us to confess our sins, knowing that He will forgive us. We thank Him for the ways that we have seen these traits work themselves out in our lives, and we can then offer supplications (or requests) knowing His great love and mercy. God doesn’t just want us to know what He is like, He wants us to draw near to Him.

Pray it:
Father, I thank you and praise you for your compassion and grace, that you are slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth. You alone are worthy of my praise, my trust, my confidence. Amen.
