Pslam 82

Devotional:
“Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. (Psalm 82:3)

God has overwhelming compassion for those who are weak and afflicted. We, His church, are called to care for the weak, fatherless, afflicted and destitute. How do we do that? Not out of obligation, but out of a heart of compassion. It is so easy to become numb to the problems in our world and wrapped up in ourselves, but God promises to change our heart of stone to a heart of flesh. Will you ask Him today to give you His heart of compassion?
Pray it:
Father, I praise you for your concern for those who are weak and afflicted, for helping me and others in our time of need. Create in me this same heart of compassion for others so that I may honor you and reflect your character in this world. Amen.
