Pslam 78

Devotional:
For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them—even the children not yet born—and they in turn will teach their own children. So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. (Psalm 78:5-7)

God has called us to teach the next generation so that they may place their hope in God and follow His ways. How can we do that? We can teach children God’s truth through His Word, share testimonies of His work in our lives, and pray with and for them. There is such joy in seeing our children (both our own children and the children in our church family) put their hope in Him. Are there children in your life that you can encourage today?
Pray it:
Father, I pray for the children in our church family, that they may come to know your great love and walk in your ways. Help me and others point them to your truth with my words, actions and prayers. Amen.
