Psalm 134

Devotional:
Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord who minister by night in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord.  (Psalm 134:1-2)

I praise and thank the Lord because He enjoys when I bless Him. In this Psalm, the clergy of Israel are in the house of God worshiping Him with lifted hands and voices. Then, they turn to the worshippers and bless them on behalf of God. How do we go about blessing the Lord? Think about what we have already been learning in the Psalms: remember Him daily, call on Him and no other, obey Him, sing and pray to Him. God loves when His children gather together to worship Him. We are His family and He likes to gather us under His wings! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! (Psalm 103:1)
Pray it:
Father, you are worthy of unending and wholehearted praise. Help me to both praise you with all that I have within me and invite others to praise you as well. Amen.
