Psalm 136
Devotional:
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1)
I will praise and thank the Lord whose love for me is rock solid and forever. This Psalm tells us 26 times that God’s steadfast love endures forever! Allow this truth to sink deeper into your soul. The Psalmist provides one example after another of God’s love and faithfulness. Repetition is incredibly helpful in much of life. When we love someone and we tell them over and over again, that person learns to believe us and trust us. If we renege on that love, it can be devastating to the other person. God assures us that He is not like us, and He will not renege. He will love us steadfastly and forever.

Father, thank you for all the demonstrations of your faithful love that I read about in Scripture and have witnessed in my life. Help me to remember them over and over again so that I can praise and trust you more and more. Amen.
