Psalm 147

Devotional:
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. (Psalm 147:3)

I praise and thank God because He heals the brokenhearted. Often, when the Psalmist mentions Zion and/or Jerusalem, he is referring to the people of God. Are you brokenhearted? If so, then place yourself in the Lord’s hands. He understands you like no other, and He will care for your wounds as they heal. The same God who commands the weather and feeds the animal kingdom takes pleasure in one thing – those who fear Him. Hope rightly placed in God’s steadfast love is a balm for the soul God heals! “Praise the Lord, O my soul!”
Pray it:
Father, thank you for healing me when I am brokenhearted. May those whom I know who feel heartbroken this day experience the power of your healing in their lives as well. Amen.
