Psalm 116
Devotional:
I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! (Psalm 116:1-2)
I praise and thank the Lord because He hears our calls for help. Imagine worshiping something or someone that cannot hear you! Many people do just that. Our living God assures us that He hears us, and He responds. Whether in life or death, distress, anguish or affliction, He is ready, willing and able to care for us. The Psalmist pledges to call on God for the rest of his life. Who do you call upon?

Father, thank you for always hearing my cries and my prayers. Help me to remember that you are hearing me even when I might doubt it, and help me not to be afraid or forget to cry out to you in my time of need. Amen.
