2 Thessalonians 3

Devotional:
Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people’s business. As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good. (2 Thessalonians 3:11, 13)

The world today is geared toward convenience and ease. We actively seek ways to make our lives easier and more profitable. But doing what God wants isn’t always easy. Sure, we can find ways to make life simpler, but are we using that to spend more time and energy doing the work of the Lord? There is a fine line between being busy at work and being a busybody. Let’s encourage one another to get busy doing the things God has called us to. Ask God for the strength to never weary of doing good.
Pray it:
Father, I confess that I can busy myself with the wrong things or for the wrong reasons. Help me to be focused on doing the right things and for the right reasons, and give me the strength not to become weary in doing these good things. Amen.
