Luke 12

Devotional:
“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. (Luke 12:32)

Life is full of uncertainty. When we view life from our limited perspective, it’s easy to let fear take hold. After all, what can we do to change what we can’t even control? That’s where Jesus comes in. With authoritative tenderness, Jesus commands us to cast fear aside. No matter how big and scary the world may seem, we are just a little flock in God’s kingdom of green pastures. There is no government or disease or enemy that can take away what our Good Shepherd longs to provide: an eternal home in His everlasting presence. Yes, our lives can be shaken, but we don’t have to fear because God has created us for an unshakeable kingdom.
Pray it:
Father, help me to resist the tendency to fear by reminding me of both your power and also of your love for me. Help me to remember that I have nothing to fear because of you. Amen.
