Pslam 62
Devotional:
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. (Psalm 62:5).
Our world today is increasingly working to appease our innate impatience. Food, TV, and delivery of anything imaginable are not only convenient, but expected. The hope of God, though, is worth waiting for. As the clamor of the world thunders for everything instantly, quiet your soul to listen in silence for the tender whisper of the Lord who says, “Surely I am coming soon” (Revelation 22:20). The next time you feel impatience fill your heart, remember that it beats for God alone, and let His peaceful patience overtake you and fill you with joyful hope.

Pray it:
Father, I confess that I am often impatient and choose to take matters into my own hands rather than wait patiently for you. Thank you for forgiving me for my impatience and helping me use the seasons of waiting to increase my trust in you. Amen.
