Deuteronomy 7
Devotional:
Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands (Deuteronomy 7:9).
Faithful. Covenantal. Steadfast. These words describe a God whose love is not fleeting, broken, or wavering. This is especially important if things don’t seem to be going well for us, because that is when doubt tries to creep in. We need to remember that God’s love is not poured out to people because of their strength or power but simply because of His character (7:7-8). Today, may our hearts cling to our God who does not change!

Pray it:
Father, I confess that I am not worthy of your love, but I believe you are a gracious and faithful God who makes and keeps His promise to unworthy people. Help me to remember your unwavering love for me by remaining faithful to you and worshiping you only. Amen.
