Deuteronomy 16
Devotional:
All must give as they are able, according to the blessings given to them by the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 16:17).
The directions for celebrating the festivals of Passover, Weeks, and Shelters required the people both to set aside time to rest and celebrate and also set aside some of their possessions for offerings. He knows that this isn’t an easy thing for us to do, but time, talents, and treasures are given by God in various portions to different people to fulfill His will in His time. If we look through the enemy’s distorted lens, we’re quickly drawn to a selfish, coveting attitude that is capable of destroying one’s soul. Instead of loathing what was not meant to be, let’s start implementing the gifts God has given us!

Pray it:
Father, all my time, talents, and treasures come from you. Help me to use them in a way that honors you and reminds me that all that I have comes from and through your grace and goodness to me. Amen.
