Luke 20
Devotional:
“Well then,” he said, “give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.” (Luke 20:25)
Our world belongs to God. We have people in authority over us, but ultimately, all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Jesus. Where does your loyalty lie? Do you put more faith in earthly powers and events than you do in the King of all creation? God calls us to honor our leaders, but He also reminds us to trust wholly in Him. There is nothing in this world that is more powerful, more righteous or more glorious than the name of Jesus! Put your faith in him!

Jesus, I honor those you place in authority over me, but I owe worship and complete trust in you and you alone. Help me to give honor to those who honor is due while giving you the worship that you deserve. Amen.
