Luke 21
Devotional:
And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. But not a hair of your head will perish! By standing firm, you will win your souls. (Luke 21:17-19)
Being a Christian means being prepared to have people dislike you. Jesus may not always be popular among those we encounter. Some may mock us, some may persecute us. Depending on where you go in the world, following Jesus may even be dangerous. But true faith means enduring all things for the sake of Jesus. His name is above all names, and when our lives are hidden in Jesus, there is no force in this world that can tear us away from him.

Pray it:
Jesus, I praise you for being rejected by others for my sake and for my salvation. Give me the strength to endure any hardships that might come my way for following you and to trust in your plans, promises and purposes regardless of what might come my way. Amen.
