Psalms 8

Devotional:
When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place— (Psalm 8:3)

This Psalm celebrates the wonder of God’s creation. It begins and ends with the declaration of God’s majesty in the earth. Many praise and worship songs reference God’s glory and majesty in creation. On a clear night, go outside and look at the moon and the stars and ponder the greatness of God. He calls them all by name, and yet He knows you personally and intimately. What an amazing God!
Pray it:
Father, I praise you for your almighty power that brought this universe into existence and sustains and upholds all things. Keep me continually amazed by the fact that you, an infinitely powerful God, delights in me and knows and cares about every detail of my life. Amen.
