Psalms 25
Devotional:
Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.
Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord. (Psalm 25:6-7).
What do you want God to remember when He reviews your life? What do you want others to remember? Did you do something when you were younger that you regret now, something you hope God and others will forget? In a world where you might encounter some past failures relived on Facebook or YouTube, it’s refreshing to know God does not remember those moments. As far as the east is from the west so far has He removed your sins from you (Psalm 103:12). Through Christ, all guilt and shame is removed and we can ask Him to remember us according to His love and mercy, and we can be sure that He will!

Father, thank you for the promise that in Christ, you remember my sins no more. Help me not to dwell on my past failures but to see them through the lens of forgiveness and transformation that happens in Jesus. Amen.
