Psalms 40

Devotional:
I have not kept the good news of your justice hidden in my heart;
    I have talked about your faithfulness and saving power.
I have told everyone in the great assembly
    of your unfailing love and faithfulness. (Psalm 40:10). 

In Psalm 40, David celebrates God’s faithfulness in his life. We, too, can join in the celebration, for God has done great things for all of His people. His faithfulness is evident in your life; each day His steadfast love has surrounded you. Your sins overwhelmed you, but salvation through Christ brought forgiveness and released you to a new beginning. Are you sharing this message? Do not hide God’s great work in your life. Do not conceal His goodness — share what God has done in your life with someone. God may use your testimony to move someone else closer to Him. “He [God] put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and they will trust in the Lord” (verse 3).

Pray it:
Father, I confess that I am slow to speak praises to you for all you have done for me. Help me to remember your blessings and the way you have saved me and to share that good news with great joy to others around me. Amen.
