Exodus 7
Devotional:
Pharaoh’s heart, however, remained hard. He still refused to listen, just as the Lord had predicted. (Exodus 7:13).
God hardening Pharaoh’s heart is difficult for many of us to understand. If God did that, did Pharaoh even have a choice about letting the Israelites go?
As we read Exodus, we learn two facets of this. One is that Pharaoh initially hardens his own heart. Second, God does harden Pharaoh’s heart in order to show His power to Pharaoh, the Egyptians, and to God’s people, the Israelites.
Pray and ask God to reveal if there are any areas your heart is hardened towards God’s desire for your life. Is there anything you want to stay in control of? Anything you want to keep in your life when you know God wants you to get rid of it? Pray and ask for strength to release those things.

Pray it:
Father, search my heart and test my thoughts, showing me any areas in which I may be hardened towards you or want to stay in control of. Soften my heart and help me release everything I have over to you. Amen.
