Exodus 27
Devotional:
“Using acacia wood, construct a square altar 7 1⁄2 feet wide, 7 1⁄2 feet long, and 4 1⁄2 feet high. (Exodus 27:1).
This is the bronze altar where the priests will sacrifice animals in order to make payment for the people’s sins. Today, may we give thanks that we no longer need to make sacrifices for our continuous sin. Jesus was the once-and-for-all sacrifice for our sins and never again does another payment need to be made! May we remember Jesus’s sacrifice as we read about the tabernacle and sacrificial system of the Old Testament, as it is meant to point us to Jesus and his work for us.

Pray it:
Father, thank you for making a way for your people to be forgiven. Jesus, thank you for offering your life as the final and ultimate sacrifice for my sins. Spirit, thank you for applying the work of Jesus into my heart and my life. I confess my need for a sin sacrifice for my sins, and I rejoice in knowing that this sacrifice has come through Jesus. Amen.
