Exodus 33
Devotional:
Moses responded, “Then show me your glorious presence.” The Lord replied, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose. But you may not look directly at my face, for no one may see me and live.” (Exodus 33:18-20).
Sometimes we forget just how glorious God is. The fact that Moses can only see God’s back gives us some indication of how amazing He is. Earlier in the chapter, God shows His grace in staying with His people when they don’t deserve it, and at the end, we again see how awesome it is to be able to be in a relationship with a God who is so amazing. God is great and good, He is gracious and glorious. He truly is awesome!
May we take a moment today to just truly be in “awe” of our awesome God!

Pray it:
Father, your glory, goodness, and power are beyond my ability to comprehend. Forgive me for when I think too little of you or that you are limited in any way. Help me continue to grow deeper in my understanding of you, knowing that I will never fully comprehend just how great and awesome you are. Amen.
