Leviticus 9
Devotional:
Then Moses and Aaron went into the Tabernacle, and when they came back out, they blessed the people again, and the glory of the Lord appeared to the whole community. (Leviticus 9:23)
Chapter 8 saw the priests of God set apart according to the instructions that were given back in Exodus 28-29. They are now ready to offer the sacrifices that God had set forth in the preceding chapters, which they do according to the instructions given in the first chapters of this book. God responds in a way similar to what happened when the people of God followed His instructions in building the tabernacle back in Exodus 40, as the glory of the Lord came upon them (9:23; see Exodus 40:34-38). Back in Exodus 40, however, Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting, but here in Leviticus we see Moses and Aaron enter the tent after Aaron had made the sacrifices. Because Jesus has offered Himself as our sacrifice, we can all go into God’s presence. Let us do so with joy and boldness this day!

Pray it:
Father, thank you for sending Jesus to be the sacrifice so I could come back into your presence.I worship you and praise you for that wonderful and indescribable gift. Amen.
