Leviticus 14
Devotional:
The priest will then apply some of the oil in his palm over the blood from the guilt offering that is on the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person being purified. (Leviticus 14:17)
Several times in today’s chapter, we see this cleansing ritual of the priest putting blood and oil on the right ear lobe, right thumb, and right big toe of the cleansed leper. The reason these body parts are addressed is that they are exposed parts of the body that represent the whole. As a cleansed leper needs to be purified before interacting with others, we need all parts of our lives cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ…from head to toe and everything in between. May we rejoice in the cleansing work of Jesus Christ, and may our prayer be that there would be no area of our lives untouched by Jesus’ cleansing work.

Father, I confess that there are parts of my life that have not been completely cleansed or transformed through Jesus yet. Help me draw closer to him so that all areas of my life may experience His cleansing power. Amen.
