Leviticus 27
Devotional:
These are the commands that the Lord gave through Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites. (Leviticus 27:34)
Reading the commandments that God gave to His people here in the book of Leviticus can be a bit overwhelming, as we see God has lofty expectations for His people. However, we need to remember that God provides His statutes and commands for our best interests. Not only do these laws in Leviticus point to God’s best for life, but they also point us to the work of Jesus, as only through the cross are our sins forgiven. Let us strive to live holy lives, not trusting in our work but thanking God for the gift of Jesus that not only allows us to be in relationship with God but leads to the presence of the Holy Spirit not just with us but in us.

Pray it:
Father, thank you for the reminder of your holiness and your call for me to be holy found in Leviticus. Help me to continue to be in awe of your holiness and to walk in light of it each day. Amen.
