1 Thessalonians 2
Devotional:
For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. (I Thessalonians 2:4)
Sometimes it may seem difficult to share the gospel. We wonder what people will think or if we will have the right words to say, but if you know Jesus, you know the Truth. And God chose you to be entrusted with the gospel! Sharing the good news of Jesus not only changes others, it grows us as well. Paul shared the gospel and his life with the Thessalonians (see 2:8), and they all grew to deeper faith in Christ. Who are you sharing the gospel and your life with? Share the gospel that’s been entrusted to you and see what God has in store!

Father, thank you for entrusting me with your message. Help me to share it faithfully with others, not in an effort to please them but rather please you with my words and actions. Amen.
