Exodus 3
Devotional:
But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” God answered, “I will be with you. (Exodus 3:11-12a).
Through the miracle of the burning bush, Moses is being called into service for God. Even though he sees this miracle, the bush doesn’t burn up, and his initial response is to tell God that he is not capable of serving – he seeks to avoid serving (v.11), and then God reassures him, “But I will be with you…”
What has (or is) God calling you into? What has been your response? If you’ve pushed it off or tried to disqualify yourself, do you realize God will be with you in whatever He calls you to do?

Pray it:
Father, I confess that like Moses, I try to find excuses and reasons not to serve you. Thank you for forgiving me of my sin as well as equipping me and using me in your work. I surrender all that I am and have to you and ask for you to help me live in this posture of surrender today, tomorrow, and each day forward. Amen.
