Genesis 24

Devotional:
“So today when I came to the spring, I prayed this prayer: ‘O Lord, God of my master, Abraham, please give me success on this mission. (Genesis 24:42 NLT)  

Abraham sent his servant on a mission to find a wife for his son, Isaac. Without the convenient means of travel that we have today, this servant traveled a long way for a purpose. He wanted a successful journey; he wanted to fulfill the desires of his master. We all want a successful journey and to serve others well. We all want to see the purpose of our journey fulfilled. Do you know the purpose of your life’s journey? Have you asked the Lord to please grant success to the journey to which you have come?

Pray it:
Father, as I embark on the duties you have placed before me this day, help me to remember how much I need you every minute of the day and prompt me to turn to you again and again. Grant me success in what I do for the sake of your name and glory. Amen.
