Romans 3
Devotional:
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. (Romans 3:23-24)
There is nothing you can do that does not fall short of God’s glory. In fact, nothing you or I do even comes close. Every person who has ever lived has fallen far short of God’s glory…with one exception. Jesus lived a perfect and holy life and then paid for all our shortcomings with his life. Because of that, God doesn’t look at our failures; He looks at Jesus’s perfection and victory. And since we all fall short, we are offered the gift of justification through Christ Jesus. There is no better gift! Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Pray it:
Father, I confess that I have sinned against you in word, thought, and deed, in what I have done and in what I have left undone. I praise you for sending Jesus to live the sinless life I could not live and for the forgiveness I find in him for my sin. Amen.
