Romans 4
Devotional:
That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. (Romans 4:17)
The God we believe in makes dead things come alive. He speaks and things that do not exist suddenly do. God made Abraham the father of many nations when he was an old man, even before he had children. He is a God of impossibilities. The only reason we exist is because of God. All He asks is that we believe. What needs to come alive in your life? What impossibility or non-existent thing can God speak into you? Trust the one whose words breathe life. Trust the one who speaks light into the dark. Let Him speak life and light into you.

Pray it:
Father, I thank you for bringing life from dead things, and most of all for raising Jesus Christ from the dead. Help me become more aware of your resurrecting power in my life and see you bring new life in areas of my life as well as in this world. Amen.
