Luke 22
Devotional:
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32)
What a scary thing for Jesus to say to Peter! To think that we have an enemy who not only desires access to us, but it seems that Jesus doesn’t stop it from happening. Yet Jesus does something even more powerful. He asks God to strengthen our faith to endure attack. Why? Not only will it make our faith stronger, but it will be a testimony that will strengthen our brothers and sisters in Christ. Don’t be afraid when your faith falters. Trust that God is with you and using your story to inspire the faith of others.

Pray it:
Father, I ask that you lead me not into temptation but deliver me from the attacks of the evil one so that I might truly know your power and give you glory as king. Amen.
