Acts 28

Devotional:
For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him. (Acts 28:30-31)

The Apostle Paul survived a shipwreck and was welcomed to Malta by kind natives and survived a poisonous snake bite! The final leg of Paul’s journey would begin several months later, and he would finally arrive in Rome. After all that happened, Paul wasted no time in starting to speak the gospel, showing how the good news of Jesus was the fulfillment of the promises of the prophets. However, not all the Jews were convinced. Still, for two years, Paul spread the message of Jesus and the kingdom of God to all who would listen. Boldly. Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:19). Are we ready to do it as boldly as Paul did?
Pray it:
Father, I thank you that shipwrecks, imprisonments and opposition will never hinder the good news of the gospel going forward in the world. Use me as part of that unhindered proclamation that started with the apostles and will end at Christ’s return. Amen.
