Psalms 3
Devotional:
I cried out to the Lord,
and he answered me from his holy mountain. Interlude
I lay down and slept,
yet I woke up in safety,
for the Lord was watching over me. (Psalm 3:4-5).
The Psalms teach us that we can be honest with God when we pray. King David cried out to the Lord as he fled from his son, Absalom. Imagine the pain and disappointment he felt as he had to run from his rebellious son. The only thing he could do was cry aloud to the Lord. What about you? What disappointment or pain are you experiencing in your life? Cry out to your Father in heaven about your pain and disappointment. Notice the last part of verse 4 and then verse 5: God answers David by sustaining him. God will sustain you too. Prayer is a powerful gift. Enter His throne room boldly to receive the grace you need today.

Pray it:
Father, thank you for hearing my prayers and giving the grace I need right when I need it. Help me cry out to you with honesty and trust no matter what might be happening in my life. Amen.
