Psalms 32
Devotional:
Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight! (Psalm 32:1).
This Psalm describes in vivid language the consequences of unconfessed sin: “When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was drained as in the summer’s heat” (verses 3-4). In contrast, we can indeed say with the Psalm writer David, “Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven” (verse 1). How blessed we are to know that Jesus died for our sins, he has covered them, and they are removed from us “as far as the east is from the west” (Psalm 103:12). Choose to walk in the incredible gift of forgiveness God offers and do not waste away any longer in unconfessed sin and guilt.

Pray it:
Father, I acknowledge my sin before you and confess that I have transgressed your laws. Forgive me and give me assurance that my sin is covered through the power and in the name of Jesus. Amen.
