Leviticus 7
Devotional:
One of each kind of bread must be presented as a gift to the Lord. It will then belong to the priest who splatters the blood of the peace offering against the altar. (Leviticus 7:14)
This chapter offers more information about the fellowship offering that was mentioned earlier in chapter 3. In particular, it notes how this offering could be a thanksgiving offering for what God has done (v12); it could be made upon the completion of a vow (v16); or it could be a freewill offering that one just voluntarily decides to make (v16). What also made this offering different from the others is that it was not all burned up or given over to the priest; part of it was given to the priest, but it was one that the worshiper also partakes of. This was a sign and celebration of the fact that we have fellowship with God. Let us also celebrate what God has done and the fellowship we have with Him today.

Pray it:
Father, I thank you for the way that you have worked in my life and for the wonderful gift I have of being in relationship with you because of the sacrifice of Jesus. May I praise you for the gifts you have placed in my life and use them to bless others in your name. Amen.
