Exodus 22
Devotional:
“You must not mistreat or oppress foreigners in any way. Remember, you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt. “You must not exploit a widow or an orphan. (Exodus 22:21-22).
If you’ve never read Exodus before, you are likely beginning to see that the Ten Commandments weren’t the only guidelines God provided to His people; He has a whole lot more. And again, while you may think many of these laws or commands are not applicable to our time, realize that the larger picture is God’s call for His people to have integrity (which is having your actions match your beliefs), and to exercise integrity even if no one else is there to witness that.
As you hold up a mirror to that in your own life today, how would you say you are doing? Where does your integrity need strengthening? Where can you thank God for the strength to live with integrity?

Pray it:
Father, help me to follow you and to live faithfully to you, even when no one on earth is watching…as I know you are always watching over me. Thank you for always doing what you say you will do and acting in accordance with your character. Help me to be more like you in all areas of my life. Amen.
