Leviticus 19
Devotional:
“When you sacrifice a peace offering to the Lord, offer it properly so you will be accepted by God. The sacrifice must be eaten on the same day you offer it or on the next day. Whatever is left over until the third day must be completely burned up. (Leviticus 19:15-16)
We live in a culture where we quite often hear, “You do not have the right to judge me.” In some instances, that is true. We cannot hold someone who does not believe in Jesus to the same standard as people who do believe in Jesus. However, if someone claims faith, they are part of the same body as we are. We must support and encourage one another when it comes to the good and be swift and just in times when rebuking and guidance are needed. Our God is a just God. Are there people you know who are acting out against God but claim faith in Him? Are there people whom you treated unjustly? May we be swift to justice and righteousness through grace and a heart that desires to edify God’s family!

Pray it:
Father, make us as your people to be more reflective of you, walking in your just and merciful ways. Give us the insight to see where we fall short, the strength to speak to our sisters and brothers, and the humility to heed their words to us. Amen.
