Leviticus 21
Devotional:
They must be set apart as holy to their God and must never bring shame on the name of God. They must be holy, for they are the ones who present the special gifts to the Lord, gifts of food for their God. (Leviticus 21:6)
God is reiterating His high bar of holiness to the priests of Israel. They needed to remain holy as the Lord’s representatives before the people. In order to appropriately offer sacrifices, they had to be sure they were right with God and following His statutes. We are a priesthood of believers and each of us is a representative of the Lord. Our lives are a holy sacrifice that attests to His glory and splendor. How have you been representing the Lord lately? As you go about your day today, be sure you are representing the Lord.

Pray it:
Father, thank you for calling me not just to be your child but also your priestly representative to this world. Empower and equip me through your Spirit to reflect this calling as an ambassador to this world in both my words and my actions. Amen.
