Proverbs 12
Devotional:
The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth. (Proverbs 12:22).
The God of truth regards lips that spread lies as an offensive abomination (something that God hates). The same God who regards lying lips as an abomination takes delight in those who value and tell the truth. The lesson of wisdom here is clear: stop lying and always tell the truth! Think about that as you go through the day — do you have lying lips or do you delight God by telling the truth?

Pray it:
God, there are times when I choose not to tell the truth…forgive me for unfaithfulness in my words. I choose now to turn away from deceptive lies and toward the truth which brings you delight. Help me to stay faithful and truthful in my words and deeds, even (and especially) in difficult moments. Amen.
