Psalms 47
Devotional:
Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises! (Psalm 47:6)
There has been a movement in the last six Psalms from a feeling that God is far away to the confidence that God is very near. Often in our spiritual walk, there can be an ebb and flow to our perception of the presence of God. How will you respond to God’s nearness in your life? Let your heart, hands, and voice sing, clap, and shout with praise to the King of all Creation who is not only near, but constantly working to show you His everlasting, all-consuming, ever abounding love!

Father, I praise you because you are king and reign over all the earth – and all the areas of my life. Help me offer you praise when I sense you are near so that I can keep praising you when I feel that you are far away. Amen.
