Psalms 49
Devotional:
But as for me, God will redeem my life.
He will snatch me from the power of the grave. (Psalm 49:15).
Perhaps the greatest fear in life is death itself, and that’s what Sheol is. It is a place of darkness, cut off from God, where the Hebrew people believed we would all go when we die. Praise God that He ransomed our lives through Christ’s death and resurrection! God sacrificed His own Son, Jesus, so that we wouldn’t be lost in darkness but instead could live with Him in His glorious light! Know this: no matter who you are, or what you’ve done, God fervently desires to be with you forever! He will receive you. Will you answer the call to follow Him?

Pray it:
Jesus, thank you for delivering me from the fear of death through your death and resurrection. Help me to live confidently in life because through you,I have nothing to fear about death when I have faith in Christ. Amen.
