Proverbs 29
Devotional:
Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back. (Proverbs 29:11).
It is the nature of the fool to think that everyone is interested in his feelings, and there is some sort of obligation for the fool to reveal to everyone exactly what he is feeling. This usually ends up being a clear disconnect of respect to others and a strong showing of a lack of courtesy to our fellow humans. The wise person knows there is a time and a place to vent your deepest feelings, but it is usually (and except in certain circumstances) inappropriate to expose all of your feelings. Does your conduct line up more with the description of the wise person or the fool?

Pray it:
Lord, I’m thankful for the gift of emotions; help me discern when to express specific emotions. Point me to those who are willing to walk with me in my struggles and to see those who need me to help them in their struggles. Amen.
