Exodus 28
Devotional:
Clothe your brother, Aaron, and his sons with these garments, and then anoint and ordain them. Consecrate them so they can serve as my priests. (Exodus 28:41).
The Old Testament priest was an intermediary between God and the people. He would bring God’s will, desire, and forgiveness to the people and bring their payments for sin and requests to God. Today, through his sacrifice on the cross and victory over the grave, Jesus is the Great High Priest serving as an intermediary between God and the people. As we read about how Aaron and his sons were made to be the intermediary for the people of Israel, let us remember Jesus is our High Priest who is perfect and brings us into the presence of God through the sacrifice of his life.

Pray it:
Jesus, thank you for being the great High Priest who allows me to come into God’s presence. Help me to do so regularly and boldly in light of your work, knowing that access to God is one of the gifts that you came to give me. Amen.
