Leviticus 4
Devotional:
“If any of the common people sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands, but they don’t realize it, they are still guilty. When they become aware of their sin, they must bring as an offering for their sin a female goat with no defects. (Leviticus 4:27-28)
There are many times we knowingly sin, but what about those times when we sin unintentionally? We made a mistake and we feel awful! The Israelites faced these feelings as well. They had to follow commands of sacrifice which were detailed and burdensome. However, when they completed the process, they were relieved and forgiven the sin they unintentionally committed. They could celebrate! We have something better through Jesus Christ. We do not need to perform a sacrifice ourselves, rather come to our Savior in humility and repentance. Our forgiveness is a done deal! We can celebrate our forgiveness and move forward in being released from our shame and guilt and walk anew in the ways of the Lord. Celebrate this day and remain firm in your faith and trust in our Lord!

Pray it:
Father, thank you for making a way not just for my sins to be forgiven, but for me to be able to be in your presence in spite of the fact that I have sinned and not treated you as holy. Show me any unintentional sins in my life so that I might not just confess them to you, but recognize that your forgiveness is even greater than I imagined. Amen.
