Leviticus 20
Devotional:
Keep all my decrees by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord who makes you holy. (Leviticus 20:8)
This is not the first or last time that we read this lofty command to be holy as God is holy. He says this to remind Israel and us of who He is and to call us not to fall into the habits of those around us. We need to remember that God doesn’t expect us to do this in our own strength. He sent His Son to die a death we deserved for our sins. We have His Spirit within us to lead, rebuke and walk with us through our joys and struggles. We have a family of believers to support and encourage us. It may seem daunting to be holy as the Lord is holy; however, He is with us throughout the entire process to support us and remind us that He is present.

Pray it:
Father, I praise you for being a holy God. Help me to draw upon the resources you have placed in my life to make me become more and more like you, a holy child of the holy God. Amen.
