Romans 15

Devotional:
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

Having faith is not always easy. Life is difficult. Sometimes relationships are strained or broken, we face failures, sickness, and death, and God seems distant. If you or someone you know feels far from God today, speak this blessing. Faith can be hard, but it can also speak peace in storms and joy in all circumstances. Why? Because the God we have faith in is a God of hope, whose Spirit can fill you with that hope. When doubt darkens the sky like a cloud, hope shines like a ray of light, lifting our eyes and our hearts with the joy and peace of knowing that clouds come and go, but there is a new day on the horizon filled with light that never goes dark.
Pray it:
Father, help the dark clouds of this world not crowd out the reality of hope that I have in you, and may you give me joy and peace as I abound in your hope. Amen.
