Psalms 24

Devotional:
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to him. (Psalm 24:1).

Really? Everything belongs to God? All who live on earth? You may be thinking, “But my name is on the mortgage, credit cards and bills. These are my kids, pets, and cars.” But according to Psalm 24, everything really does belong to God, so we need to acknowledge the true owner of all we enjoy and realize our role as stewards of what God entrusts to us. We may also need to change our mindset, starting with humility and repentance for thinking we own it all. It can be very liberating to relinquish control to the rightful owner. Pray today for God’s guidance to help you be a better steward of His resources so one day you will hear Him say, “Well done good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21).
Pray it:
Father, everything I have and everything I see belongs to you. Help me to live as a steward of the things that you have entrusted into my care and use them to honor and glorify you.
