Genesis 3
Devotional:
“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. 5 “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” (Genesis 3:4-5 NLT)
The enemy wants to create doubt in our minds, deceive us, and pull us away from God’s true path. Doubting God always creates trouble. In Eve’s case, it created a whole lot of trouble for all of humankind. How has the enemy tempted you to doubt God? Is God’s way really better than a lifestyle devoted to pleasure? Is having a relationship with God really better than riches? God’s Word is perfect, true and right. Do you have complete trust and confidence in Him?

Pray it:
Father, help me resist the lies of Satan that cast doubt upon your goodness and truth. Thank you for the forgiveness of sins found through Jesus for all the times that I have gone astray, and thank you for giving us your Word to help guard us so that we can cling to truth and reject the lies around us. May the Spirit guide me to listen and embrace your Word more and more each day. Amen.
